Cheap Recruiting Assistants in India

Davey Manaster got a letter from a Indian woman offering to search job boards and other databases for candiates for a flat 12K/year. She calls herself a Remote Recruiting Assistant.

Rob McIntosh of Microsoft comments:

"I leverage such services... (administrivia, volume active candidate sourcing/pre-screening) so it frees us up to focus on the higher value/impact projects.

"....outsourcing the elements that are not core and can be done at lower cost without sacrificing quality should be a no brainer!"

Note: "leverage" means use like a lever to increase your power to do something.
